Box Score No. 6 Onondaga narrowly escaped Prince George's Community College, 71-66, on Sunday afternoon in Largo, Maryland.
The Lazers got out to a, 17-14, lead after going on a 10-2 run to finish the first quarter. The Owls fought back on their home court to take the, 35-32, edge at halftime. The seesaw battled continued when Onondaga took the third, 58-53. With 2:57 left on the clock and the score tied, 62-62, the Lazers were able to close out the game and bring home the victory.
Sam Britton matched her season best with a team-high 24 points.
Morgan Deland recorded her forth double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Jaleya Bryant added 12 points and
Jordan Vaught chipped in 10.
The Lazers continue their Maryland tour tomorrow as they take on Anne Arundel Community College at 12pm (rescheduled from 1.7.17)
