Syracuse, N.Y. – The Onondaga Community College softball team found themselves on the losing end of both games of a doubleheader against Herkimer College. The Lazers lost game one 10-3 and fell in game two 4-0.
Game One: Herkimer 10, Onondaga 3
Chelcee Staats led the way offensively going 3-3 from the plate including a double, while Emily Clapper, Samantha Moon and Casey Gray each recorded a hit for Onondaga.
Staats took the loss in the circle for the Lazers giving up 10 runs (seven earned) on nine hits and four walks.
Game Two: Herkimer 4, Onondaga 0
Clapper and Victoria Duffy booked the lone hits for the Onondaga in game two in the shutout loss.
Duffy suffered the loss in the circle going five innings giving up four runs on eight hits.
The Lazers (15-13) return to action on Thursday as they host Niagara County Community College for a doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. at the Softball Complex.
