Box Score The Lazers defeated Clinton Community College, 104-30, on Sunday afternoon in Allyn Hall.
OCC played shut-down defense from the starting tip off, not allowing a Cougar basket until the last minute of the first quarter which finished with Onondaga on top, 30-4. The Lazers dominance continued through the second quarter to enter halftime with a, 44-16, lead.
Closing out the game, every player in a Lazers uniform scored for Onondaga as Coach
Mike Wheeler was able to utilize the depth of the bench that racked up 54 points to secure the victory, which was led by freshman
Neziah Mitchell with 10 points and 5 rebounds.
Yami Reyes brought her energy to the floor to add 8 points with 2 three-pointers.
Michaela Whiteman and
Cassidy Rattray both had 7 points,
Mallory Clark and
Rachel Scalisi each added 6 points and
Bridget Murphy tacked on 5 points.
Onondaga travels to Hudson Valley Community College on Wednesday at 5pm.
