Box Score Onondaga Women's Basketball defeated Herkimer Community College, 87-56, on Saturday afternoon in Herkimer, NY.

The 4-6 Generals gave Onondaga a scare in the first, matching the Lazers point for point. Onondaga ended the quarter with only a three point lead. The Lazers offense kick started in the second, going on a 15-1 run to start the quarter and ended the half with a, 49-27, lead.

Morgan Deland and Sam Britton controlled the paint in the third quarter, each scoring 10 points. Herkimer outscored Onondaga 18-17 in the final quarter but it was not enough to overcome the 8-2 Lazers.

Morgan Deland tallied team highs 16 points and 8 rebounds, Sam Britton added 5 buckets and went 4 for 4 from the line, Hope DeFazio had 12 points and Michaela Whiteman put in 9.

OCC travels to SUNY Adirondack for a 1pm tip off tomorrow afternoon.
