Box Score The Onondaga Community College Women's Basketball Team showed a glimpse of why they started the season as the #7 ranked team in NJCAA Division III basketball as they journeyed to Johnson City and defeated Davis College 92-45 on Tuesday.
After getting off to a slow start offensively, the Lazers - who used a swarming defense - built a 16-11 first period lead into a 38-17 halftime margin that grew when the team put the game away in the third period when they scored 34 points.
Fourteen players entered the scoring column for Onondaga and were paced by freshman
Rachel Scalisi with 15 points, while sophomores
Morgan Deland,
Cassidy Rattray and
Hope DeFazio contributed 14, 10 and 10 points respectively. Running the point,
Jordan Vaught distributed the ball well and finished with 8 assists. Frosh
Samantha Britton pitched in with 9 points and 6 rebounds in the win.
The Lazers play at home for the first time this season when they host Genesee Community College at 7pm at Allyn Gym on Thursday, November 3.
