Box Score Onondaga Women's Basketball faced their second loss of the season against Monroe Community College, ranked 14th in NJCAA Division II, on Thursday evening in the SRC Arena & Events Center.
The Lazers got out to a quick 9-0 with the help of
Morgan Deland and
Sam Britton, but late in the 1st the Tribunes tied the game at 20-20 and ended the first quarter in the lead. Monroe scored a total of 30 points on turnovers and made 17 three-pointers in their 110-84 victory over OCC.
Leading the Lazers was
Morgan Deland with her season high 21 points. Deland's hustle play added 9 total rebounds, 4 of which offensive that resulted in 7 points for the Lazers. So far this season the sophomore forward is averaging 14.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Â
Sam Britton continued her dominance in the paint adding 16 points, 2 blocks, 6 rebounds and going 4-5 from the free-throw line.
Jordan Vaught contributed 11 points and season high 11 assists, and
Cassidy Rattray added 12 points.
Onondaga hosts the 4-0 Fulton-Montgomery Raiders on Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm in Allyn Hall.Â
