The Onondaga Community College women's basketball team improved its record to 14-3 overall (2-0 in conference) with a resounding 100-55 win over visiting SUNY Broome (1-10; 0-2) on Tuesday night at Allyn Hall.
The Lazers produced season highs in points, assists (29), and three-point shots made (13) on a night when twelve players contributed to the scoring column.
Morgan Deland (Marcellus) came off the bench to lead Onondaga in scoring with 16 points. Also in double digit scoring were
Hope DeFazio (Baldwinsville) with 14,
Samantha Roberts (Cicerco-North Syracuse) with 12, and Yami Reyes (Monticello) with 10.
Casey Gray (Auburn) and DeFazio connected on three shots each from beyond the three-point line, while
Melissa Bakowski (West Genesee) pulled down 12 rebounds and Roberts dished out 5 assists.
The Lazers are in the midst of a tough game schedule that has them playing 7 games in 14 days – with three tough road contests in a row – the first being a 5pm tipoff at Jefferson Community College on Thursday.
