The nationally-ranked Onondaga Community College women's lacrosse team fell to top-ranked Monroe Community College, 19-8, in the title game of the 2015 NJCAA Region III Women's Lacrosse Championship on Saturday in a battle of the nation's top two programs in Rochester.
With the loss, No. 2 Onondaga falls to 13-2 on the season with both of its losses this season coming at the hands of the Tribunes. Monroe remains unbeaten on the season at 13-0.
Both teams will advance to the 2015 NJCAA Women's Lacrosse National Championship with the action scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. on Saturday at Onondaga's David W. Murphy Field.

Makenzie Annable,
Jenn Deuel and
Alisia Griffin were each named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Lazers came out aggressive to open the game, scoring two goals in the first three minutes of play to hold a 2-0 lead, but the Tribunes would respond with three straight goals of their own before
Megan Fero knotted things up at 3-3 with an unassisted goal at 21:10.
After swapping goals to bring the score to 4-4, the Tribunes would score six of the game's next eight goals to hold a four-goal advantage going into halftime.
Coming out of the break, Osborne would find the back of the net on a feed from
Alison Hernandez to cut the gap to three goals, 10-7, but five consecutive goals by Monroe would stake the Tribunes to a 15-7 lead with just over 21 minutes left to play.
Nicole DeVona would bring Onondaga to within seven with an unassisted tally at 17:50 but the Lazers would not score again as the Tribunes closed the game on a four-goal run to win their fifth straight Region III crown.
Osborne led the way for Onondaga with three goals while Annable tallied two points with one goal and one assist. Krystn Drake scored twice and
Cheyenne Burnam dished out two assists for Onondaga.
Sophia Wojnovich took the loss in net for the Lazers. The freshman goalkeeper made seven saves in 60 minutes of action.
