Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Lazers' Winning Streak Reaches 94 Straight with Rout of Jefferson

Sean Lattimore scored a career-high 10 goals to go along with one assist as the top-ranked Onondaga Community College men's lacrosse team remained unbeaten after cruising to a 25-0 win at Jefferson Community College on Wednesday night in Watertown.  With the win, Onondaga has now earned a victory in 94 consecutive games and moves one win closer to breaking the all-time NJCAA record for consecutive wins across any sport (97).

The No. 1 Lazers controlled the contest throughout scoring early and often.  Onondaga would build a 13-0 lead at the half and never looked back.  The shutout marked the first for Onondaga since the Lazers defeated Cayuga Community College, 30-0, on March 27, 2013.  On the season, Onondaga, the nation's top-scoring offense, has outscored its competition, 160-24.

Lattimore's 11 points will undoubtedly go down as one of the best offensive outputs in the Lazers' storied history as the Auburn native nearly matched his season total in points for the season.  Matt Bennett finished with a career-best seven assists to go along with one goal while Seth Leonard registered five points on two goals and three helpers.  Brine Rice added four points while Kyle Killen, Mac Morgan, Joseph Ondrako and Nick Sawyer each contributed three points in the win.  Tyson Bell, Alex Waelder, Tom Koster, Sam Watts, Brady Hoose, Seth DeLisle and Jack Centore each finished with at least one point.

Jack Sweeney and Sean Rhodes combined to turn away nine shots in all while Doug Jamieson, Zach Lohman, DeLisle and Watts won 24 face-offs in all.

The Lazers will seek their 95th straight win at 4 p.m. on Saturday when they travel to Dryden to take on Tompkins Cortland Community College in a Mid-State Athletic Conference contest.
