Nationally-Ranked Onondaga Women's Lacrosse extended its winning streak to three games on Tuesday after defeating Suffolk County Community College 13-3 on Tuesday in Garden City. With the win, Onondaga, which is ranked second overall in the latest NJCAA national poll, moves to 3-0 on the season while the Sharks fall to 1-1.
Â
Onondaga's dominance in both groundballs and draw controls would allow the Lazers to maintain possession throughout as Suffolk County was pinned in the defensive end of the field for a majority of the contest.
Â
Makenzie Annable led all players with four goals in the win while
Jordan Osborne notched three scores.Â
Alisia Griffin netted two goals for the second consecutive game and
Cheyenne Burnam contributed four points on a goal and three helpers.Â
Â
Sophia Wojnovich picked up her third win of the season after making a season-high seven saves.Â
Gretchen Krzykowski also saw time in net and made three stops.
Â
Onondaga will go for its fourth straight win at 4 p.m. on Friday when it travels to Bel Air, MD to take on the Harford Community College Fighting Owls.
