Box Score The Onondaga Community College women's basketball team moved its winning streak to four games on Thursday as the Lazers outlasted Jefferson Community College, 66-58, in a Mid-State Athletic Conference showdown in Watertown.

With the win, Onondaga remains unbeaten in conference play at 3-0 and moves its season mark to 14-4 while the Cannoneers dip to 2-1 in MSAC play and 9-5 overall.

It was a back-and-forth affair from the get-go as neither team was able to build a lead until the Lazers jumped out to a 30-18 lead with just over six minutes to play in the opening half.

Onondaga would find itself in foul trouble as the half wore on allowing the Cannoneers to climb back into the game after ending the half on a 12-5 run to close the gap to five points at the half, 35-30.

Jefferson would carry its momentum into the second half, eventually taking the lead on the strength of a 10-2 run but the Lazers would answer with a modest 6-2 run of their own to reclaim a slim lead, 43-42.

With the Lazers leading 55-51,
Alisia Griffin gave the visitors some breathing room when the Geneva native corralled the offensive rebound and laid it in.

The Cannoneers would continue to fight, but four free throws in the game's final moments from
Brittany Anderson sealed the win for Onondaga.

Griffin scored 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds while Anderson added 16 points in the win.Â
Samantha Roberts collected eight points and dished out seven helpers and
Kumba Marong narrowly missed her fourth consecutive double-double with nine points and 11 boards.

Onondaga will look to keep its momentum going at 3 p.m. on Saturday when it hosts Tompkins Cortland Community College in an MSAC battle in the SRC Arena and Events Center.
