Box Score The Onondaga Community College volleyball team continued its strong play on Wednesday as the Lazers earned their fifth-straight win and first in MSAC play after sweeping Finger Lakes Community College in straight sets (26-24, 25-22, 25-18).
 
The Lazers, now 5-0 overall and 1-0 against conference opponents, are off to one of the best starts in program history, while the Lakers move to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
 
Allison Massara posted a team-high nine kills to go along with 19 digs and one service ace, while Jessica Cost, this week's NJCAA Region III Athlete of the Week, contributed 18 assists, five aces and seven digs in the win.  Freshman hitter Sydney Burritt filled the box score with nine digs, four kills, two assists, two aces and one block.
 
The Lazers will put their winning streak on the line on Saturday at the Jefferson Community College POD match.  Onondaga will begin the day at 10 a.m. against Cayuga Community College before battling Erie Community College and Monroe Community College, respectively.
