The Onondaga Community College men's soccer team held Finger Lakes Community College scoreless for nearly 93 minutes on Saturday before the Lakers were able to score the game-winning goal in the first overtime period to escape with a 1-0 win.

With the loss, the Lazers slide to 4-4 and 1-2 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference while Finger Lakes improves to 6-2 and 2-0 against conference opponents.

The Lazers had several chances late in the second frame but were unable to notch the go-ahead goal.

Chris Spaulding did not factor in the decision after making two saves in 45 minutes of play., Jeff Valencia was saddled with the loss after playing nearly 53 minutes before allowing the game-winner., Werdi Mugaya and Elvedin Hasanovic posted a team-high two shots., Joey Amato, Ben Jackson and Romeo Kpolo each tallied one shot in the loss.

Onondaga will return to action at 4:30 p.m. on Monday and will host SUNY ESF at David W. Murphy Field.
