Box Score The Onondaga Community College women's soccer team pushed its winning streak to three games on Monday as the Lazers handed Bryant & Stratton its first loss of the season, 3-1.
With the win, Onondaga climbs to 4-2-1, while the Bobcats dip to 1-1 on the season.
Alexandra Gallo staked the Lazers to an early lead in the seventh minute after juking her way past the Bobcat defense to create enough space to pour in her second goal of the season.
Onondaga would add to its lead in the 29th minute when
Carlee Kingston scored her team-leading fifth goal after netting her own rebound.
The Lazers controlled the ball for a majority of the first half, peppering the Bobcats with 18 first half shots.
Both teams battled back and forth in the second frame, but neither was able to register a mark until the 81st minute when
Bridget Field found the back of the net to give the Lazers a 3-0 lead which would hold until the 89th minute when the Bobcats would add a tally of their own, but it was too little, too late.
Margaret Choroser picked up the win in net for Onondaga moving her season record to 4-2-1 after making two saves in net.
The Lazers will put their three-game winning streak on the line at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday when they host MSAC opponent, Jefferson Community College at David W. Murphy Field.
