Box Score 3 The Onondaga Community College women's volleyball team went 1-2 on Saturday as the Lazers took part in the SUNY Broome Invitational in Binghamton.

Onondaga, Now 9-4 on the season, began the day with a straight-set loss to SUNY Broome who the Lazers defeated in five sets earlier in the week.

Onondaga rebounded with a three-set win over Tompkins-Cortland Community College before falling to SUNY Delhi in a five-set-fight.

Against Delhi, the Lazers split the first four frames, setting up a fifth a deciding set. Delhi jumped out to early lead but the Lazers would chip away before Delhi sealed the win late in the set.

Melissa Krak capped an impressive afternoon after compiling 47 digs to go along with 18 kills, five blocks and three aces while
Sydney Burritt combined to tally 19 kills, 18 digs and five stuffs.

Abbey Townley stepped up big in place of
Jessica Cost with 30 assists, nine aces, 15 digs and three aces.

The Lazers return to action at 6 p.m. on Wednesday against MSAC rival Jefferson Community College in Allyn Hall.
