Box Score 4 The Onondaga Community College volleyball started its season off strong, posting three wins at the Nassau Community College Invitational on Saturday. The Lazers downed host Nassau in straight sets before defeating Region III rival Niagara County Community College in a hard-fought three set effort, 25-18, 17-25, 15-10. The Lazers went on to post a convincing 25-16, 25-21 victory over Community College of Rhode Island in the nightcap.
The Lazers will look to continue their winning-streak at 6 p.m. on Thursday when they open the home portion of their schedule against Davis College in Allyn Hall.
Freshman
Sydney Burritt paced Onondaga with an impressive 21 digs to go along with 10 kills, two blocks and two service aces.
Jessica Cost contributed a combined 26 assists, eight kills and two aces, while
Melissa Krak clubbed seven kills and also added 20 digs and one block.
