Box Score Syracuse, NY - Tournament Most Outstanding Player Allie Taylor (Hannibal) scored  21 points as the Onondaga Community College women's basketball team defeated Jefferson Community College 75-57 at SRC Arena on the OCC Campus on Saturday afternoon to win the Mid State Atheltic Conference Tournament Championhship.  With the win, Onondaga completed its conference schedule with a perfect 14-0 record.  On Friday evening , four Onondaga players were selected to the regular season All-Conference team: Amanda Marcely (Bishop Grimes), Kayla Kibling (Bishop Ludden), Lauren Roy (Bishop Ludden), and Jenn Deuel (Whitesboro).

The Lady Lazers - who never trailed in the game that matched the #1 and #2 seedeed teams in the tournament - opened up a 12 point lead by halftime (38-26) on the strength of a suffocating defennse that caused 10 turnovers and an unselfish ofense that dished out 13 assists in the first haf alone.  Joining Taylor in double digit scoring were Roy with 14 points and Deuel with 13.  Jefferson was led in scoring by Alyssa Crosby with 20 points while Jasmine Canady chipped in with 15.

Onondaga  now advances to NJCAA Regional play as the #1 seed.  Their first game will be held on Friday, February 28 at 5pm in Allyn Gymnasium on the OCC campus against the as-yet-to-be-determined 8th seeed.
