The Onondaga Community College men's soccer team had its home finale spoiled on Tuesday as the Lazers fell to Bryant & Stratton, 6-0, at David W. Murphy Field.
With the loss, Onondaga closes out its regular season at 11-7 while the Bobcats remain unbeaten at 9-0-1.
Bryant & Stratton jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after netting back-to-back goals less than two minutes apart.Â
The Bobcats would extend their lead late in the first half after scoring goals in the 34th and 44th minute, respectively, to hold a 4-0 lead at intermission.
Onondaga would have its chances as the second stanza got underway when
Romeo Kpolo peppered the Bobcats' net minder with two quick shots, but Bryant & Stratton would regain possession and quickly slow the Lazers' momentum with a goal in the 63rd minute to hold a 5-0 lead. Â
A goal in the 76th minute would put the visiting Bobcats up 6-0 before the final horn sounded.
Chris Spaulding earned the loss for Onondaga and made three saves. Both
Jeff Valencia and
Jimmy Brady each saw time in goal for the Lazers.
Nick Marollo had three shots in the loss while
Jarred Hinkson,
Dan Desmarais and
Gerardo Ramirez each took one shot.
