The Onondaga Community College men's soccer team saw its six-game winning streak snapped on Saturday as the Lazers were blanked, 2-0, by the Genesee Community College Cougars in Batavia.
With the loss, the Lazers are now 10-5 while the Cougars improve to 8-6 overall. The loss marks the first for Onondaga since a 1-0 overtime loss at the hands of Finger Lakes back on September 20.
Genesee took a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute and never looked back padding its lead with only four minutes remaining in the game to emerge with a 2-0 win.
Chris Spaulding made a career-best 13 saves but suffered the loss in net for Onondaga.
The Lazers will look to start a new winning streak when they return to action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday and will face Monroe Community College in Rochester.
