Syracuse, NY - Onondaga Community College will open the home fall season this week, with a pair of women's contests on tap. The Lazers' first home contest of the 2013-2014 academic year will take place tomorrow (Tuesday), when the Onondaga women's soccer team plays host to Herkimer County Community College at 6:00 pm on David W. Murphy Field. The women's volleyball team will be the next in action, as they host Finger Lakes Community College in a Mid-State Athletic Conference match, Wednesday at 6:00 pm in Allyn Hall.
The women's soccer team split a pair of road contests to open the season. After dropping a 4-2 decision to Mohawk Valley Community College last week, the Lazers bounced back with a 5-0 win at Clinton Community College on Saturday afternoon. Five different players (
Alexandra Gallo, Rachel Gac,
Jenna Herbert,
Emily Parker, and
Emily Barriere) scored for Onondaga, and the Lazers held Clinton without a shot on goal in the contest.

The women's volleyball team is 2-2 thus far this season. Onondaga went 1-2 in the Nassau Community College Invitational, before capturing a 25-9, 25-13, 25-18 win at Davis College on Thursday.
Melissa Krak leads the Lazers with 28 kills and 25 digs on the season.
Alexis Hasper has recorded 18 kills, while Allison Marsarra has 24 digs. Andy Killian is entering his 10th season at the helm of the Lazers.
