Box Score Saranac Lake, NY - Two days after incurring their only loss of the season, the Onondaga Community College women's basketball team (10-1) went on the road to Saranac Lake on Saturday and got back on the winning track with a resounding 99-49 victory over North Country Community College (6-3)
After North Country pulled ahead of Onondaga by a score of 11-10 at the 13:40 mark of the first half, the #2-nationally-ranked Lady Lazers switched to a full court press that transitioned into baskets on the offensive end and closed the half with a 57-28 lead - and well on its way to its 10th win of the season
Onondaga placed five players in double figures with
Allie Taylor (Hannibal) leading the way with 21 (all in the first half) - followed by
Lauren Roy (Bishop Ludden) (14),
Kayla Kibling (Bishop Ludden) (14),
Alisia Griffin (Geneva) (12) and
Jenn Deuel (Whitesboro) who finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Onondaga returns home next Saturday to take on Herkimer Community College at 1pm.
