Matt Massenzio joined the athletic department in October of 2025 as Assistant Athletic Director, Game Day Operations & Facility Management.
Matt Massenzio spent the four years prior to his hire having served as an Admissions Specialist and Recruiting Coordinator for the college. His monumental contribution has been increasing enrollment of the Syracuse City School District population through developing a transformative admissions process. Massenzio also supervised the Student Ambassador program and organized admission and recruitment events such as information sessions, campus tours, college fairs, accepted students days, and open houses where he has developed relationships with departments all across campus. Massenzio also assisted the OCC Men's Soccer program in 2017 and 2018 and again in the seasons of 2022 and 2023 where Onondaga appeared in the Region 3 Championship in all four seasons. The dual role of administrator and coach allowed Massenzio to support student-athletes academically and athletically, mentor them in leadership and discipline, and guide many of them as student ambassadors under his supervision.
Massenzio is a graduate of SUNY Oswego where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Wellness Management where he was a member of the Men's Soccer program earning a spot on the SUNYAC All-Academic Team in 2014 and the SUNYAC Commissioner's List in 2015. He is also a graduate of Onondaga Community College where he earned his Associate of Science Degree in Physical Education and Exercise Science and was also a captain of the Men's Soccer program, earning recognition as both an Academic All-American and First Team All-Conference athlete and working alongside the college's athletic trainer, where he gained insight into the department's day-to-day operations.
