Zach Gifford was announced the first ever head of the Men's and Women's Wrestling Programs in April of 2024.
Gifford is a native of Deposit, NY and attended SUNY Cortland where he was a participant of the Wresting program from 2016-2019. He was featured as Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference Rookie of the Week in his Freshman season and recieved the 'Outstanding Rookie' Award. He has contributed his knowledge to the JD-CBA Wrestling programs since 2023. Gifford is looking forward to bringing his leadership to Onondaga's first ever wrestling programs:
"I am thrilled to be joining OCC's athletic department and look forward to helping grow the sport that molded me into the person I am today. I believe we have a chance to offer a great wrestling program that will hopefully further develop student-athletes into the resilient and independent young people the work force and world needs them to be.
