Onondaga Community College

This is Matt's second year playing for the OCC men's tennis team coming back from a third-doubles loss in the semifinals at the National tournament last year.  Matt put down his baseball glove in ninth grade and picked up a tennis racket playing at Homer High School for coach Nancy Cavalier.  After qualifying for Sectionals in 10th, 11th and 12th grades, Matt also received second-team All-League honors and was the MVP for his high school team.  During his freshman year a OCC  Matt went 9 - 0 in Regional play at 3rd doubles while also placing first at the Regional tournament.  During the season he primarily played doubles but he had to fill in for an ill teammate during the NIT tournament in Maryland and ended up taking first place in the 6th singles position. His future goal is to transfer to a 4-year school and receive a degree in Marketing & Sales while still continuing to play intercollegiate tennis.  His goal this year is to finish what he started at the National tournament last year.
