Onondaga Community College is a member of the Mid-State Athletic Conference. The conference currently consists of seven two-year institutions, all members of Region III of the National Junior College Athletic Association. Originally formed in 1987-1988 as a basketball conference, the MSAC currently crowns champions in seven sports and presents individual awards in nine sports.
In addition to Onondaga, current MSAC members include: SUNY Broome, Cayuga Community College, Corning Community College, Finger Lakes Community College, Genesee Community College, Jefferson Community College, and Tompkins-Cortland Community College.
Conference Champions may be crowned in sports which are sponsored by at least 50% of the member institutions. The MSAC currently names champions in baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's golf, men's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, softball, and women's volleyball. The conference also names an All-Conference Team, Player of the Year, and Coach of the Year in each of those sports.
