Syracuse, NY - Men's Soccer moved to 2-1-3 with a 3-1 victory over Jefferson Community College at home on Wednesday evening.
Jefferson was first on the board after a goal was scored coming off the body of Onondaga with 10:40 remaining in the first half. Onondaga's response came three minutes later after a shot from
Deric Bere deflected off a Jefferson body into the goal to tie it up 1-1 to enter halftime. The Lazers took he edge on a corner kick from
Archie Burnett found the foot of
Ethan Sanderson for a goal to lead 2-1 at 61:11. It was Sanderson again who capitalized on an empty net after the Jefferson goalie was beat just five minutes later, taking a 3-1 lead. The physical 90 minutes of play resulted in 8 cards issued.
Olivier Bienvenu had 4 saves in goal for the Lazers.
The men are back at it this Sunday, September 28th taking on the Genesee Cougars on Wilbur Field following the women's contest.
