Houghton, NY - Onondaga's Men's and Women's track teams rounded out the indoor season at the Houghton University's Last Chance Qualifier meet on Saturday.
On the Women's side
Hannah Wagner finished 7th overall in the 60m dash and 6th in the 200m.
On the men's side Mike Jocz and Kristian Manabo set personal bests in the 1k. Jocz returned in the 3k running a time of 11:51.14 placing him 6th all time for the men's 3k. In the men's 60m Bradock Salisbury broke the school record and won the meet in 7.06 seconds. Peter Kraynak ran a personal best time of 7.39 placing him 10th all time. Logan Zapf improved his personal best time down to 8.95 from 9.06 in the 60m hurdles. In the men's 1 mile Bryce Burdick moved up to 9th all time with a time of 5:20.59. Payton Hickey set the school record in the 300 with a time of 38.06 breaking the previous record by over a second. In the men's 800 Paul Clark crushed the school record by 8 seconds running 2:00.43. Salisbury returned to the track breaking the men's 200m school record running 22.86. The men's 4x400 the team of Payton Hickey, Julian Cineas, Paul Clark and Peter Kraynak placed 2nd overall in the meet and are now 6th all-time at OCC.
In the field events Max St. Leger, Parrish Morrison and AJ Zaleski all threw season bests. Parrish broke the school record with a throw of 12.24m. Zaleski's throw of 9.98m places him 7th all time and Max St. Leger moves up to 9th all time with his throw of 9.25m. Zaleski returned in pole vault clearing 2.85m placing him 3rd all time. NyQuez Madison placed second in the meet with a jump of 13.04m in triple jump. Placing right behind him and jumping a new personal best was Logan Zapf with a jump of 12.59m. In men's long jump Jacai Sanders jumped a PR of 6.21m moving him into 7th all time.
Overall the team had a great meet with 21 personal bests run and 5 new schools. The team now goes into a month of training before resuming on March 29th at Utica to kick off the outdoor season.
