Binghamton, NY - OCC's Competitive Cheer program competed at its first ever program meet this weekend at the Empire State Championship held at SUNY Broome, where the Lazers were titled Division Champions.
"Just finally getting to the competition mat is a pretty big accomplishment,"
Head Coach, Ginny Marasco.
The routine scored zero deductions with no falls and no errors in what the Lazers performed. Their score was 113 out of 135 possible points or 84%. The Lazers were also awarded the Sweet Surprise Award which earned them a discount at their upcoming competition at Hershey Park in April.
The upcoming competition in Erie, PA will have 80 teams competing including another team in Onondaga's division, a team that placed third at NCA Nationals also in this division.Â
