Syracuse, NY - The women's lacrosse team hosted Genesee Community College this week for their first home contest of the season. The Lazers had a 1-0 record coming into this game after defeating Harford Community College 12-10.
Onondaga asserted dominance in this home opener defeating Genesee 17-2. The Lazer defense held Genesee completely scoreless in the first half. Their offense was hot from the start scoring in the first 30 seconds of the contest on a goal from
Isabella Commesso. Commesso found the net for 2 more goals in the first half for a hat trick.
Selina Keye and
Alecsis Buda also scored 3 goals each.
Jadie Burns was unstoppable by the Cougar defense with 5 goals on the day bringing her to 12 total goals in two games.
The Lazers will host the Anne Arundel Riverhawks this Saturday, April 1st at 12pm for their next home contest.
