Syracuse, NY- In an exciting start to the season the Lazers lost a thriller to Mohawk Valley in OT.

The teams battled in the first half and ultimately went into the half tied 0-0. The Lazers got on the board first when Caio Hughes found a streaking Adam Webster for a goal in the 60th minute. The Hawks responded shortly after when they scored in the 67th minute of the contest. Both teams held each other scoreless for the rest of the half and the game proceeded to OT. Both teams had opportunities to score in the first OT period but couldn't capitalize and the game went into a 2nd OT period. The Hawks were able to end the game on a goal in the 105th minute. 

The Lazers will be back in action on Saturday (9/3) at 3:30pm as they host the Panthers of Tompkins Cortland.
