Box Score The Onondaga Lazers were defeated in their home opener against visiting Cayuga Community College, 2-1, on Wednesday evening at David W. Murphy Field.

After an evenly matched first half, 1-1, Cayuga controlled the second half with the Lazers defensive unit holding strong under the leadership of Freshman Goalkeeper Bhuwan Basnet (8 saves). Selim Prenci notched the game winner for the Spartans in the 78^th minute of the game.

Onondaga turned up the attack in 85^th minute of the match but Spartans Goalkeeper, Konrad Pawlikowsk (6 saves), held his ground with 2 key stops to secure the victory.

Kyle Johnson scored the lone goal for Onondaga with the assist going to Yahiya Donzo.

The Lazers visit Jamestown Community College on Saturday, September 10^th for a 6:30pm kickoff.
