Second-ranked women’s lacrosse falls to fourth-ranked Howard CC, 7-5

Columbia, M.D. – Sophomore midfielder Rebeka Coughlin registered four of fourth-ranked Howard Community College's seven goals to defeat the second-ranked Onondaga Community College women's lacrosse team 7-5 on Saturday afternoon in Columbia, M.D. Coughlin and freshman midfielder Cassidy Delaney both scored two first-half goals to give the Dragons a 4-1 halftime lead.

Onondaga scored three unanswered goals in the second half to cut the Dragon's lead to 5-4 with 20 minutes left to play. The Lazers looked to have tied the game soon after but the goal was waived off for an illegal stick. Howard would go on to score two more goals to put the game away.

For the Lazers, freshman midfielder Madison Pritchard scored three times and sophomore attacker Jaycie Annable registered a goal with one assist. Sophomore attacker Jordan Osborne completed the Lazers scoring with a goal of her own.

Freshman goalie Mia Pascuzzi recorded seven saves.

Onondaga (2-1) returns to action on Wednesday against Nassau Community College at David W. Murphy Field at 4 p.m.
