The Onondaga Community College men's tennis team got back to its winning ways after beating the Community College of Rhode Island, 7-2, on Sunday at Anthony J. Santaro Park.
The win moves Onondaga's season mark to 8-9 while the Knights fall to 3-8.
Jon VanKouwenberg earned Onondaga's first point with a 7-6, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles.Â
Darren Pikul,
Carlos Pena-Alicea and
Benjamin Jones would follow suit with wins at third, fourth and fifth singles, respectively.
Pena-Alicea would later team with
Marc Rich for a win at second doubles while Pikul and
Jeffrey Stone collected a win by forfeit at third doubles.
The Lazers will conclude their regular season at 4 p.m. on Tuesday when they face SUNY Broome in Binghamton. Â
