The Onondaga Community College men's tennis team lost both of its matches on Tuesday falling to NCAA Division III Colleges, Springfield and Nichols, 9-0, as Onondaga competes against some tough competition in Orlando, FL. The Lazers are now 0-3 on the season.
Against Springfield, Onondaga had its best opportunities in doubles competition.
At second doubles,
Jon VanKouwenberg teamed with
Benjamin Jones, but fell 8-3, while
Jeffrey Stone and
Justin Taylor scored two points at third doubles before falling, 8-2.
Later in the evening against Nichols, the Lazers best chance to score a point came at No. 3 doubles with
Darren Pikul and Taylor falling just short, 8-4.
Onondaga will return to the court at 8 a.m. on Wednesday against Western New England University in Oak St. Park, FL.
