The Onondaga Community College men's soccer team pushed its winning streak to three games on Saturday as the Lazers shut out Tompkins Cortland Community College on its home field, 3-0.
With the win, Onondaga climbs to 7-4 overall including a 3-2 record in conference play while Tompkins-Cortland slides to 7-2 overall.
After a scoreless first half of play, the Lazers caught a break when the Panthers goalie was red carded, earning Onondaga an extra-man advantage for the remainder of the game.
The Lazers would capitalize in the 52nd minute when 
Jake Mrowinski blasted one into the back of the net to give the visitors a 1-0 lead with 
Ben Jackson earning an assist on the play.
Kyle Hunt would score his first goal of the season in the 80th minute after Mrowinski broke free and found the big defenseman to give Onondaga a 2-0 lead.
The Lazers weren't finished there, however, as 
Elvedin Hasanovic scored his fourth goal of the season in the 84th minute as Mrowinski was credited with the assist to extend the Lazers' lead to 3-0.
Chris Spaulding picked up his fifth win in net and first shut out of the season after making four saves.
Onondaga will look to make it four wins in a row at 2 p.m. on Wednesday when they travel to Binghamton to take on the SUNY Broome Hornets in an MSAC matchup.
