The Onondaga Community College women's tennis team lost a closely contested match to Herkimer on Monday after falling, 5-4, to the Generals in Herkimer. The match had originally been scheduled for Sunday but was postponed due to inclement weather.
Kaitlin Ferrara earned the Lazers an important point after closing out her first singles match in dominant fashion, 6-1, 6-0.
Madison Perkins pointed for Onondaga at fourth singles while
Haley Everts earned a straight-set decision at fifth singles, 6-0, 6-2.
Onondaga's final point came at first doubles when Ferrara paired with
Holly Glor for an 8-5 win.
Onondaga, now 2-6 on the season, will return to action at 9 a.m. on Friday as the Lazers compete for a Regional Championship in Delhi.
