Kyra Hunsinger of the Onondaga Community College softball team has been named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week after helping lead the Lazers to a 4-0 record the week of April 4th – April 10th.

In Saturday’s doubleheader against Hudson Valley Community College, Hunsinger went 4-6 from the plate with 2 doubles, 2 RBI, 1 runs scored and a stolen base. Hunsinger would not play in Sunday’s doubleheader due to an injury.

"Kyra played exceptional on Saturday despite getting injured and ending up with stitches in her leg. She is the epitome of a great teammate and a great leader, along with being an excellent softball player."
