Gus Gosson (Westhill/Syracuse) of the Onondaga Community College men’s golf team has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the second time this spring after three impressive performances during the week ending May 3, 2015.

Gosson helped guide the Lazers to three top-three finishes including a win at the Genesee Community College Invitational before securing second place overall at the 2015 Mid-State Athletic Conference Championship on Sunday.

Gosson finished in sixth place in the individual standings at the Monroe Community College Invitational and would follow with a 75 in the Lazers’ win at Genesee.  Gosson’s 75 was the second-lowest round of the day.

The sophomore golfer would save his best for last after finishing in second place at the MSAC Championships after shooting +2 (74).

Onondaga will return to action beginning May 11 with the Region III Men’s Golf Championship at the SUNY Delhi Golf Course.
