Elizabeth Jackson (C.W.Baker/Baldwinsville) of the College’s nationally-ranked softball team has been named Onondaga’s Female Athlete of the Week for action taking place during the week that ended April 12, 2015.

Jackson went 2-0 on the week as the Lazers extended their current winning streak toss six games with triumphs over North Country, SUNY Orange and Mercyhurst Northeast.

Jackson did not allow a single run over 12 innings of work and scattered four hits while striking out 11 overall to earn her fifth and sixth wins.

For the season, Jackson is 6-4 with a 3.00 earned run average.  She has tallied 53 strikeouts in just over 60 innings.

Jackson and the rest of the No. 9 Lazers return to the diamond at 4 p.m. on Tuesday and will host Corning Community College in a doubleheader.
