Jarred Hinkson (Roy Hart/Buffalo) of the Onondaga Community College men's soccer team has been named the College's Male Athlete of the Week for action concluding September 7, 2014.

Hinkson scored five points last week to help guide the Lazers to a season-high scoring effort against Fulton-Montgomery Community College en route to a 1-1 record.

On Thursday, Hinkson tallied his first assist of the season as the Lazers came up short at top-ranked Herkimer, 5-1.

Hinkson's scoring effort would carry over to the weekend as the Buffalo native scored a pair of goals on two shots in Onondaga's 4-3 win over Fulton-Montgomery at David W. Murphy Field.

For the season, Hinkson leads the Lazers in points scored with seven and goals with three.

The Lazers will return to action at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday when they open MSAC play against Cayuga Community College.
