Sam Tornatore of the Onondaga Community College men’s golf team has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week. Tornatore, a freshman from Whitesboro High School, qualified for the Men's Golf National Championships on May 10th at the Men's Golf Region III Championships hosted by Tompkins County Community College in Dryden, New York.

Tornatore carded an 89 on day one and came back the next day with an 82 – good enough to qualify for nationals.

Tornatore will be joined by teammate Shamus Hickey for the Men's Golf National Championships hosted by Jamestown Community College at the Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, NY from June 6 – 10.
