The fourteenth annual Peppino's Invitational kicks off December 1-2 in Allyn Hall at Onondaga Community College.
 
The owner of Peppino's Restaurant & Catering Company, John Vigliotti is a long-time supporter of local high school athletics.  For over forty years Peppino's have proudly served the people of Central New York and John Vigliotti has supported this huge showcase for local high school basketball for over 10 years.  
 
The annual showcase has come to signal the start of the season for high school boys basketball.  Each year the selection committee attempts to put together early season match-ups that spectators want to see and includes some of the best teams and players from Section III and upstate New York.
 
The packed schedule includes a rematch of the 2016-17 Class B State Championship between Westhill and Canton (Section X) on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
 
This year the teams are comprised of four 2016-17 Section Champions: Westhill, Liverpool, Canton (Section X), and Jamesville-Dewitt.  Rounding out the field includes: Auburn, Bishop Grimes, Bishop Ludden, Christian Brothers Academy, Corcoran, Fayetteville-Manlius, Henninger, Utica-Proctor, Rome Free Academy, Saratoga (Section II), and West Genesee.
 
Admission costs $5 per day and is good for the entire day.
